I confess that I've never seen a Rock-U-Mentary even though they were popular in my yute stage.

Great pics of a dead genre!

Happy Mute Monday

"Dead genre", maybe not as popular. The Iron Maiden Flight 666 was released this year although I haven't seen it.

KC's Angry Ghost

"and eat you" - that's funny.

Party on Wayne.

Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty DiBergi: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?
Nigel Tufnel: [pause] These go to eleven.

Best line ever in a rockumentary.

Aunty

What can I say - I love music.

Thanks and see above Boxer comment.

AWESOME! I couldn't even begin to tell you the number of rockumentaries I've watched. All of them? Stop Making Sense is certainly one of my faves, as is Penelope Spheeris's Decline of Western Civilization, Part I. And some of my most favorite movies of all time are mock-rocumentaries like Velvet Goldmine and Summer of Sam. I even have a soft spot in my heart for Grease :o).

Oh so clever. Wish I had thought of it! I'm predictable as usual. Happy Mute Monday, your post rocks!

I haven't seen "Decline Of the Western Civilization Pt II" in years, but I still remember a lot of it.

I need to see more of these!

Happy Mute Monday

Out of all of them I liked Woodstock, End of the Century and, of course, Spinal Tap the most. I never heard of Velvet Goldmind; I'll have to look that one up. And I wouldn't consider Grease a Rockumentary I kind of like it and my kids watched the crap out of it when they were 7 -10 years old.

Pam

I think this was kind of predictable for me. Just go with what you know.

Heff

If you remember a lot of it, than you weren't in the "proper frame of mind" to watch it.

That's all I got - I'm spent.

DUUUUUDE! I was going to post something but husband said it was too rude. Therefore, I'm going to post it anyway:

ROCK OUT WITH YOUR COCK OUT! WOO HOO!!! (I lived in Australia WAAAAAAY too long. Sorry.)
