Eagle Scout - Update

I forgot (well, I didn't actually forget - I was busy) to post that last week The Boy passed his Eagle Board of Review and is officially an Eagle Scout. I never thought we'd ever get here, but we did. And amazingly, he wants to stay active in the troop as a Junior Adult Leader and Merit Badge Counselor. We'll see how long that lasts once college starts. All we need to do now is figure out if he wants some kind of ceremony/party. He says not but I think the Mrs. has other ideas.

Good afternoon buzz kill

Congratulations to him and to you. Glad to read he made it. I'm sure he appreciates all the help he received in getting there.

So I'm guessing the ceremony or party won't include you taking him to a topless bar for a few beers. When I was that age it would've been my first choice.

Excellent accomplishment, by both of you! I wonder if he's secretly hoping for a party or if whatever the Mrs. has in mind will just mortify him :)

Hey!!!! You posted mid-week? Whattttt?

I'm really happy to read your son is officially an Eagle Scout. I'm also really impressed with you as a parent. This goes to Mrs.Buzz too. It's not easy raising GOOD childen and one of the things I enjoy most about your posts, is hearing about your kids.

Thanks but the troop has a thing that it gives out.

It's been my experience that strippers do like men in uniform, but I think a boy scout uniform would creep them out. He would be able to lash up a dance pole in a pinch though.

He's alreay getting a good size (catered) graduation party, so I think that will be enough.

I post when I can. He's not that good of a kid - I sugar coat a lot of what I write. Bwahahaha He was only in scouts for about 4 years (when most Eagles are in for 7) and I'm afraid hemissed out on a lot of the things that will stick with him for the rest of his life. Less camping trips, community service and leadership opportunities. I mean, he did the requirments, I just don't think he got the complete experience.
