Buh! I would never be able to read this correctly if my life depended on it.

Happy Blue Monday, Buzz!

Blueprints! Great take, as always. Happy MM.

I'm fascinated by Leonardo Da Vinci's drawings. They have about them something of the fantastic – almost approaching science fiction. Not that I can understand any of it, mind you :o). Happy Mute Monday!

Very clever. I decorated my garage with blueprints. But none of the Death Star.

Happy Mute Monday!

Happy Monday Buzz,
Blueprints are no longer blue :-(
The original ones had white lines on blue backgrounds, then that was reversed but since plotters came to be the norm .... mostly it be black on white prints.

Great selection! Leonardo is still the smartest guy around.

Blue prints! Very cool. There is one of the Space Needle that is one of my favorite "shots" of the Needle. Fishy's comment is very interesting and I like the government blue print the best. Clever!

Happy MM!

Buzz,
Me again, the Area 51 blueprint is LOL funny as is the blueprint for Santa's egress. Good Monday to you.

Give it a try, you'd be surprised at how much you understand.

Pam
Thanks. I'm around them all the time so it just seemed natural.

Moi
I think DaVinci influenced a lot of science fiction. Look at Jules Verne. I also think some of his designs will eventually come to life in the future. He was that far ahead of technology.

Troll
How do you expect to conquer the universe without plans for a Death Star?

Fishy
I remember back in my drafting days (plastic lead and ink on mylar) that the blueprins we made were blueline on white paper. The blueprint machine used rolled paper and some of our blueprints (flow chart schedules) got up to 20 feet long, were a bitch to fold and smelled like ammonia. Ah the good old days.

Boxer
I didn't happen upon a space needle blueprint, but I was in the space needle about 20 years ago. As I recall I had dinner in the revolving restaurant on top.

Aunty
The Rube Goldbergs are my favorite. The modernday ones are YouTube videos. They crack me up and have me scratching my head at the same time.

Fishy (again)
I was wondering if someone would get the Area 51 plan. I was surprised I stumbled on that one. The Christmas one is my all time favorite. If you read architectural plans for a living, this is hysterical. All the ADA and N.I.C. is funny stuff.

Buzz,,, the drip line on the Christmas tree.... HOWL !!!

Good morning Buzz Kill,

What a great take! you put together it well. If you have a death star, would you need an AK. It's kinda like having an ADA ramp on a fireplace.

Fishy
Did you see the ground water flow and grading lines too? The guy that did this drawing probably charged it to one of his customer's projects.

Karl
AK-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every MFer in the room, accept no substitutes.

Troll
Forgot to mention the last "blueprint" was for you.

I beg to differ; HK 416.

All the firepower with half the rattle.

Great idea! Blue prints didn't even cross my mind. Happy MM.

ask me no questions an' I'll tell ya no lies...but I got a plastic folder of Death Star (an' other space buggy thangs) blue prints ( in black) in mah attic. Circa 1980 somethin' but I doan think Ebay will give me more'n a nickel fer 'em.

awesome! a fine curatorial presentation. the soviet rocket plans are gorgeous; presented artfully which isnt really required for the info...so its about the vision.; what the rocket represents to them.......the radial designs suggest the rose windows of cathedrals; an interesting blend of visuals to say the least. ive always loved the death star...im getting a condo on that sukka.

happy MM!

Wherever did you get blue prints of the Star Ship Enterprise?! Too funny!

That quote was from Jackie Brown, a movie mad way before the HK416. Here's the weapon you really want if you're kicking down doors in Iraq:

MR
Thanks, they're always on my mind (not these, construction blueprints).

Aunty
So your the one with the plans. I think there are some Imperial Storm Troopers who would like to have a word with you.

K9
The artist's eyes sees a whole different picture than the engineer's (very tired) eyes.

Diva
There is a whole Star Trek parallel universe out there in internet land that has battle histoies, captains, specs and plans for hundreds of star ships. Dozens of different classes (with the names of all the ships in each class) along with picyures and some plans. And most of them were never in any of the movies or TV shows. Take a look here:

http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/

They even have Klingon and Romulon ships. Go to a ship class and look at the list. There's a column that says "Official" meaning part of a movie or TV show and they almost all say no. That'll scare the crap out of you.

Good afternoon Buzz Kill,

I can't believe I missed another movie quote, I need to get out more often.

Funny you chose that video, if you notice John Roos is in both of them. Mr. Roos and his associates get to work with some very interesting equipment.

Thanks for the info, Buzzkill, I'm copying and pasting into an email for hubby now, we are both Trekkies but I'm certainly not one of those nut jobs! I just like the shows and movies. Off to my Klingon language class now.....!!
