Haiku Monday - Silence

Two classes of ships,
Submarines - and their targets.
Run silent, run deep.

Yeah, I decided to play this week because it was a great theme and this popped into my head pretty quickly.  Last week's haiku winner, Foam at The Foaming, is hosting with theme of Silence this week.  Stop on over to hear the roar.

Love the visuals and the haiku.

I don't know how anyone can spend more than a few seconds in one of those things, though. I'd be clawing my way out.

Cool that you're playing again--good luck!

Good morning Buzz Kill,

Good one, glad you played.

oooh, a young Burt Lancaster. That's a nice thing to start my day with.

Good Haiku and I like the subject, however, I'm soooo with Moi. The idea of being trapped in metal tube under water fills me with intense horror.

They didn't call them "pig boats" for nothing. The modern subs are much more crew friendly.

Karl
I thought for sure we'd blogger jinx on this one.

"The idea of being trapped in metal tube under water fills me with intense horror." As opposed to being trapped in a metal tube 30,000 feet in the air?

Buzz- Moi and I share the same feelings about airplanes. BTW, Karl is up with his answers to the 11 questions...........

Subs! I think they are awesome. It would have never occurred to me to write a silence haiku about Submarines. I think it's a great idea. Glad you played, buzz.

Here's the difference: I can see OUT of an airplane. I have to be able to see or touch the earth. Otherwise, it's freak out city.
