Movie Clip Wednesday - Most Memorable Thin Man Role In A Movie

That Movie Clip Wednesday Film Buff, Boxer is off on an adventure at Chickory, so she won't be hosting anytime soon. One can only imagine what's going on there. This MCW Meme has everyone picking a clip from their favorite movies based on a weekly theme while trying to keep the clip or clips to around 3 minutes long. So the lovely Joanna Cake again will perform the hostess duties. She has declared this week's theme in Karl's honor - Most Memorable Thin Man Role In A Movie.

This is a stumper because I've never seen any of the Thin Man series all the way through...just select scenes...from Karl. So I did some Googling and found a character that I see all the time as a crossword puzzle answer - Asta. So here's a funny clip of Asta in action from After the Thin Man (1936). That Mrs Asta sure is a tramp.

I'm really curious as to what will turn up at Joanna's. But one thing you can bet on - it'll be in black and white.

Awww... so cute! I have to admit I have never seen Asta as the answer to a crossword puzzle clue... and my clip is most definitely not in black and white since I have taken the whole Thin Man thing and thought laterally... with the only thin man that I know!

Good evening buzz kill,

I love that clip. I had thought that you might go with Clint Eastwood or one of the more modern tall thin detectives. Yet I'm glad you decided to stick with the true theme.

Just goes to show you never know until the DNA tests is done.

Happy clip day to you.

I had so many other "images" of your trip to chickory that I could have probably done a post on it. That's what happens when I'm left alone with my thoughts.

Joanna
I liked your take on the thme this week. And maybe the crossword thing is more of an american thing.
Some that come to mind are:
Asta's mistress
One of Asta's masters
and this Asta clue link.

Karl
I was very linear in my take on the theme this week. It was a busy week but I'll try harder nex week.

Moi
Every now and then my inner voice (when satan isn't talking to me) will tell me to throw one out to the ladies. This was one of thos times.

IE
See, it's not just me. Another one is Ida Lupino, an actress who turns up in crosswords all the tiime and I have no idea who she is.

I had a comment for you before the whole blogger snafu over the weekend. Basically, I could do a whole post on the various pictures I came accross of what I thought you and Chicky were doing at Chickory last weekend - but good taste prevents me from doing that.

Aunty
Because of the blogger srew up, I may not be able to play this week. I usually do them over the weekend and that didn't happen.

The Pudge and I (and one other scout) are going to a pack meeting this week to participate in a Webelos cross-over ceremony. The pack has 2 Webelos that will be leaving to join our boy scout troop. I have no idea what I'm going to do there, but it will probably be embarrasing.

Chicky
Yeah, I don't know anything about these movies either, just that Asta is in a lot of crossword answers.
